Proteomics Submission Guidelines

Date modified 06/15/07.

Please, read the ESI LC MS/MS sample analysis policy.

To reserve your place in queue, please send e-mail to pechan@ra.msstate.edu (please no phone calls) with this information:

  1. Number of samples.
  2. Is "Spot Cutting" and Protein Digestion at the LSBI requested?
  3. Mass Spectrometry service requested:
    1. ESI 1-D LC or 2-D LC (ProteomeX LCQ, ThermoFinnigan)
    2. MALDI TOFTOF simple sample; minimum 50 samples required (ABI 4700, Applied Biosystems)
  4. Contact name and phone number.
  5. PI Name.

Do so only when your samples are physically existent and you know the exact number of samples.

When your samples advance in the queue, you will be contacted and asked to bring them to LSBI. Principal investigators can view the queue here.

When preparing samples for LC MSMS analysis, last steps must include this simple procedure.
For robotic in-gel protein digestion followed by MALDI MSMS analysis, bring to LSBI freshly made solutions according to this list.

At the moment of sample submission, the following form must be completed:

LSBI Mass Spec Sample Submission Form
iTRAQ Nano 2D LC Sample Submission Form

Please review the following tables showing the standard 2-D LC methods (gradients) LSBI offers.

Long Reverse Phase Methods (LRP)
