Axon GenePix Pro v6.0 and Acuity v4.0 Microarray Analysis Software

Axon GenePrix Pro Software offers enhanced support for third party images and will read standard unsigned 16-bit grayscale TIFF images acquired from any scanner. Automated spot finding with improved algorithms and batch analysis accelerates the spot finding process. The GenePix Pro Results (GPR) file calculates up to 108 different measurements for each spot including mean, median, and sum of pixel intensities for both feature and background pixels, ratio of mean and median pixel intensities, signal to noise, etc. Histogram or Scatter Plots of any analysis measurements, including regression and standard deviation lines are also available.

After data is extracted, LSBI offers Axon Acuity to continue the data analysis stream. Many normalization methods are available, e.g. on control spots, linear ratio-based or non-linear lowess methods, and Robust Multichip Analysis (RMA) algorithm for Affymetrix arrays, to name a few. Advanced analysis methods like: Hierarchical Clustering, Self-Organizing Maps, K-Means and K-Medians, Gap Statistic, Principal Components Analysis, Gene Shaving and more leads to discovery of new genes and relationships. Significance statistics, t-test, Mann-Whitney, and one way ANOVA for group comparisons are also revealing. Quicklists can be easily saved and color-coded enabling you quickly track multiple sets of substances through all Acuity visualizations. Some useful visualizations are heat maps, dendrograms, and chromosome localization. Acuity also links directly to pathway sites such as KEGG and BioCarta.
