- Promoting scientific research and education that meets the needs of society and further enhances the unique strengths of MSU
- Attracting and retaining outstanding faculty and students by providing unique and productive research and teaching opportunities
- Developing educational and outreach programs that address the science of biotechnology and its impact on humans and the environment
- Attracting financial and intellectual capital to Mississippi that will improve economic development through the commercialization of new, enhanced biotechnology products

The LSBI includes the Omics Biology Laboratory (OBL), a specialized "MSU service center" featuring advanced genomics, proteomics, and transcriptomics instrumentation. Click here for OBL rates as determined by the MS State Controller's Office. |
